Morning Keynote: Todd Weber, Chief Technology Officer

Todd Weber is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Optiv Security. Todd joined Accuvant in 2005 and held the positions of Senior Security Consultant, Sales Engineer, Solutions Director, Vice President of Managed Security Services and Vice President of Partner Research and Strategy. Todd has worked with some of the largest companies in the world developing and deploying Information Security strategies and architectures. The Office of the CTO spearheads Optiv’s efforts on technology and integration testing security technology solutions to help clients make better informed decisions in selecting the correct technology suite. Todd works with Technology manufacturers, Clients, Venture Capital, Private Equity firms and leading research institutions to help develop Optiv’s overall strategy with Technology Partners and on incubating new and innovative Cyber Security solutions.

Prior to Optiv, Mr. Weber held core networking and security positions with ACS and Halliburton. Mr. Weber has over 20 years in the IT Engineering, Cyber Security and Operations Experience and has over 15 years of experience in the IT Security field.  Mr. Weber holds a B. S. from Virginia Tech.


Featured Keynote: Major Dan Rooney, USAF

Major Dan “Noonan” Rooney is a fighter pilot with 3 combat tours in Iraq, a PGA Golf Professional, and the founder of the Folds of Honor. He has served as the motivational speaker for two U.S Ryder Cup teams and is a frequent guest with FOX News. A decorated military aviator, Major Rooney is currently stationed at Tyndall AFB Florida as a member of 301st Fighter Squadron. He is a two-time recipient of the Top Gun award and has received many decorations to include the Distinguished Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Anti-terrorism Medal, and Air Expeditionary Medal.

Major Rooney is the driving force behind Folds of Honor, which raised over $100 million and awarded over 13,000 scholarships to the family members of KIA or disabled soldiers. For his service and patriotism—Rooney was presented the White House's “Presidential Volunteer Service Award” by President George W. Bush, the Air National Guard’s “Directors Service Award” and the Ellis Island “Medal of Honor.” He was honored at The Masters Invitational with the “William D. Richardson Award” for his outstanding contributions to golf and received the PGA of America's first-ever “Patriot Award.” He has been recognized as one of People Magazine's “Heroes of the Year,” Money Magazine’s “Hero of the Year” and ABC World News Tonight's “Persons of the Year.”Rooney founded The Patriot, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed course in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Patriot is home to the Folds of Honor Foundation headquarters. Major Rooney is the author of A Patriot’s Calling – Living Life Between Fear and Faith and the proud father of five daughters. Is there a fee to participate?

No, OptivCon is a complimentary event.

How do I earn CPEs for attending?

Attendees will be asked to sign in with their (ISC)2 member number at the registration desk during the event. Optiv will submit 6 CPE credits directly to (ISC)2 for attendees. If a certificate is required for an organization other than (ISC)2, Optiv will provide one upon request.

What time should I arrive at the event?

Vendor exhibits, registration and breakfast open at 8:00 a.m. The morning keynote begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Do I have to choose a breakout track?

We ask all registrants to choose a breakout track of interest. Optiv doesn't require that you attend only sessions in that breakout track. Please attend any sessions that are of interest to you.

What can I expect from the breakout sessions?

These sessions will focus around the overarching topics of compliance, operational efficiency and risk management.
