The ability to organize a security strategy to stay ahead of bad actors, influence your organization to follow standard security practices, and inspire senior C-Suite personnel to allocate the necessary budget to fund security needs can be a Herculean task. The challenge is that many rising CISOs are coming from the world of technology and often lack experience or training when it comes to leading people. In high stakes situations, there can be a tendency to either assume everyone knows what you know, or what’s worse, to tell them everything you know and risk boring them to death or thinking that added security is going to slow down productivity and innovation.

Unfortunately, there’s no magic wand (or in some cases club) to wave over someone’s head to make them see the light. Optiv and its team of Field CISOs under Daniel DeSantis has partnered with Jason Weiss Consulting to provide rising CISOs with the skills, confidence, and tools they need to:

  • Empower their organizations to reach their yearly business outcomes.
  • Navigate difficult conversations with confidence and agility to increase their status.
  • Inspire the skeptics and nay-sayers and overcome internal obstacles and roadblocks.
  • Lean into their curiosity to see their people as individuals to achieve their maximum potential.
  • Deliver messages that stick and drive people to action and make decisions.
  • Lead better and more productive meetings that uplift their teams.
  • Create a mission or North Star enabling them to achieve strategic goals rather than check boxes.

This training will be highly interactive and immersive.  Your full attention and active participation will be required throughout both days.  There will be no traditional PPT presentations or time spent behind a screen.  Instead, you will be fully engaged in practical exercises, real life scenarios and discussions designed to have the most impact over two full days. This training will be fully in person.
