Deliberate Engagements – Using USAF Ops Battle Rhythm for Pen Testing

The presentation implements the US Air Force’s operations battle rhythm nicknamed PBED for a consultant to improve their engagements. PBED means Plan, Brief, Execute and Debrief and is used regularly in US Air Force operations for air, space and cyber operations. The presentation introduces PBED and how the US Air Force executes the cycle with brief operational vignettes to introduce the concepts. The concepts are then applied to daily engagements with recommendations on improving penetration testing. Attendants of this talk will take away the importance of preparation, documented Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and self-analysis in penetration testing.
